April 17 -
The Blue Jays tasted a bitter defeat today as they were edged by the Yankees 12-11. "The boys started out flat today," said Manager Mark Colligan in a post game interview, "if we had started out fast the outcome might have been different." The Jays fell behind early, but their bats woke up in the 3rd, maxing out their run total in the 3rd and 4th frames. Great ABs by Sean Baldwin and Travis Cooper brought them close, however minor mistakes in the field and consistant hitting by the Yanks, the Jays couldn't make it all back. Defensive play of the night: Dylan Sadgrove catching some air time as he laid out to snag a line drive and threw the runner out at 3rd. Next up for the Blue Jays, the Giants on Thursday night. First pitch at 6:05pm.
