April 18 - A complete team effort yesterday gave the Yankees the edge in a 12-11 victory over the Blue Jays. Still committing minor mistakes on the field the Yanks are giving up unearned runs. They will continue to work on defensive coverage this week as they look forward to their game against the Cards on Tuesday. Alexander Steele, Adam Feng and Michael Pais all had big games at the plate. April 14 - Tonight was another big win for the AAA Yanks as they over took the Giants 12-9. Led by three big hitters, Adam Feng, Josh Wright and Max Tumber the Yanks plated at least 1 run in every inning. Unfortunately for the Yanks, consistency was lackin in the field as they gave up a few errors in key situations. The boys are going to go back to work on their defense this week to try to cut down on errors. April 11 -
Last night the Yankees ran into a very prepared Cardinals squad which handed them their 2nd loss of the season. The Yanks committed a few defensive errors, and their bats which have been hot early in the season, cooled off in key situations. A shining star in the Yankees 11-8 loss was William Cassidy. Picking up a couple RBIs on the day, Cassidy has been hot with his bat as of late, and continued swinging hard last night. The Yankees are going to take the next few day off to work on their defensive coverage and their base running. Next up for the Yanks are the visiting Giants on Wednesday night. First pitch 6:05pm. April 9 - The Yankees came out prepared for battle last night, and their hard work paid off in the end, as the downed the Blue Jays 8-3. The boys were in what appeared to be mid-season form early on, and were led by Mitchell Tinaburri who mashed a double, and followed it up on defense with an All-Star catch in center field! Coach Bill Wright kept his eyes sharp for things he needs to work on at the Yankees' next practice, but was impressed with the boys' hustle: "Hustle isn't something you can coach. I mean you can harp on the boys for not jogging on and off the field, but this group of players just seems to get it." Next up for the Yankees, the AAA Cardinals today at 1:35 PT.
