The Big League division is reserved for those 17 and 18 year olds that still love to play competitive baseball! These young men square off against teams from across the Lower Mainland in their 40+ game schedule as they prepare themselves for post-season play. To accommodate player's work schedules the Big League squad plays 1-2 evening games during the week, and usually plays a double header once on the weekend. Tournament play is also a big contributor to the Big Leaguer's schedule, as they host their annual Wood Bat tourny, and they also enter the annual Whalley Tournament.
The regular season gears up these players for the big games of the post-season, where the Big League teams across the district combine to form the D3 Chiefs which compete in Provincials, Nationals and the Big League World Series. the D3 Chiefs have had consistent success and have become a staple in their division. Since 1992 Coquitlam has developed players that have competed and won at the National level 10 times ('92, '94, '96, '99, '00, '01, '03, '06, '07, and '08) and in 2000 for the first time ever Team Canada captured a World Title! The World Series Champion banner now flies proudly at Blue Mountain during major tournaments.
The coaching staff of the Big League A's includes Manager Jim Rogers, and Coaches Nick Fletcher and Matt Boater.
