2010 President's Message

2009 proved to be a watershed year for your League. For the first time our league held the high profile (11/12) Provincial Majors. We received high accolades from the participants, coaches, and parents for the quality of the tournament. Thank you, to all volunteers and sponsors. At the same time, we hit new highs in our Junior and Senior Division. The Juniors won back to back National titles, (2008-2009), and went on to represent Canada at the Junior World Series, again! And, with the Senior Division winning the Provincial title for the first time in our League history; it was a very memorable year! Congratulations to both teams for their hard work and dedication.

Our teams at all level of post season play, continue to improve; culminating in the success of our Junior and Senior Divisions. The success on the post season field tells us that we are on the right track with all of our regular season developmental programs. With the dedication to these programs by our coaches, players and volunteers, there is no reason to believe that 2010 will not continue to lead to more success. The continued focus will be on developing our programs at all levels of play, while enjoying the game of baseball.

The coming year will bring new challenges to all Divisions. However, we will continue to put forward our successful “game plan” throughout all levels of seasonal and post season play. In order to ensure that success, we will require the continued dedication of our volunteers and coaches. Without you, there is no baseball. In the coming year, we ask that parents bring your ball player to all scheduled try-outs, practices and games. The dedication to the league and game begin with you, the parents, coaches, and volunteers. Thank you for that dedication.
