Coquitlam Little League is part of District 3, Little League British Columbia. Along with Whalley, White Rock, Langely, and North Langley it is easily understood why D3 has long been considered one of the hottest and most competitive districts in all of Canada. Despite this, Coquitlam Little Leaguers have proven that our program develops players that perform and excel both on and off the field at every age level.

  • 2009 was crazy and exciting and definitely a year to remember for the A's. Both Mackin Yard and Blue Mountain were a flurry of activity and as early as June 15th our Little Leaguers began preparing themselves for post-season action. The Major A's were prepping to host their Provincial Tournament at the Yard, Junior A's were getting ready for their Districts, the Seniors A's were ready to host and compete for the Provincial Title, and our Big Leaguers were gearing up for another trip to Nationals!!

Overall we were crowned Junior Provincial Champions, Senior Provincial Champions, and Big League Provincial Champions... leading to a repeat Junior National Title!!!

  • 2008 can be written as one of the best in CLL history as our league raised the bar for National Tournament play. The Junior Nationals were hosted by Coquitlam giving us a birth as the host team to compete against the best Canada had to offer. Teams from Whalley, Medicine Hat, Port Arthur, Notre-Dame-de-Grace, and Glace Bay converged at Blue Mountain to compete for the National title, and Coquitlam emerged victorious! From the volunteers to the umpires, players tents to team banquets, gear sales to concession sales... Blue Mountain Park was wired to record every moment of the tournament, and we are proud to say we won!

For a detailed break-down of the Junior A's 2008 victory check out the '08 Junior National page.
  • Coquitlam Little League is proud to announce that this Fall we are hosting an inter-squad Fall-Ball League for the Senior and Big League divisions, as well as a shortened Fall-Ball season for the Junior program.

Pre-Season Workouts for Junior, Senior and Big League

Pracitces have been set for all players at Blue Mountain to start making their way back into game shape before evaluations. Come out and take advantage of our snowless winter and begin spring training early!

    Saturday, February 6th
    Saturday, February 13
    Sunday February 14

All practice times are set to start at 12pm so get there 10min early to get your cleats on. Remember its still winter so long sleeves are mandatory. The Blue Mtn rule is in effect: under 25C all players must wear long sleeves and pants.

Dryland Training to begin Wednesday, November 11!!

Dryland training for graduating Juniors, and all Senior/Big League A's begins in earnest Wednesday November 11 and Thursday November 12, both nights 8pm in the Blue Mountain cage. The A's Winter dryland program will then continue weekly every Wed/Thurs until tryouts in February.

The A's follow a similar conditioning program to that used in the offseason by the Arizona Diamondbacks, supplemented with drills endorsed by the Toronto Blue Jays Strength and Conditioning Coach Jeff Krushell, as well as drill developed by UBC Thunderbirds Manager Terry McKing.

    The dryland training program increases:
    Speed
    Quickness
    Agility
    Strength
    Power

The Sr/Big League divisions chose sides and squared off against one another in a 7-game series, where the Green Team coached by Bruce Michael and Sandon Fraser achieved victory via a 4-game sweep! Congrats to all the players, and thanks for making Fall-Ball a success! Also running for these 15+ year olds are weekend workouts at Fitness 2000 where CLL has worked with trainers to form a baseball specific weight training program. This is ideal for anyone who is looking to gain an edge for next season. Workouts are Saturdays and Sundays, check the Senior's Website for details. Dryland training will be starting mid-November!!!

The Junior A's welcomed the up-and-coming players from Mackin to the big diamond as they held regular practices and hosted games against the North Sore Jr. Jr. Twins. An overall successful season despite 2 tough losses, the Juniors continue with their regular Wednesday nights for Hitting League! A new concept to the program this year, the Jr. Hitting League allows players to take what they are learning from their hitting coaches and apply it in a 'game-type' situation. Awarding points for quality swings, nightly batting champs are named along with team champions! Check out the Junior's Website for more info.
