The Blue Jays suffered their first loss of the season last night at the hands of the Majors Cardinals. Cards ace Colton Kehler shut down the Jays dynamite offence and defensive troubles by the Jays led to a 11-3 rout. The Majors Blue Jays beat the Yankees 9 – 8 yesterday. After being down 8 -2 after 4 innings, the Blue Jays battled back to tie and win the game on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 6th inning. The Yankees hit the ball really well, particularily Mark Ledlin with two triples and played some impressive defense. However, the Jays never gave up and used some timely hitting from Harrison Lucas-Russell, Wilf Neufeld and Kurtis Kapitza in the last inning to steal the victory.

Tonight was game 2 of the Blue Jays regular season schedule, and it was a barn burner of a game. After falling behind 3-0 the Jays came back to take a 6-4 lead into the bottom of the 5th and final inning, but they couldn't hold on and the Yankeees tied it up before the final out. Stepping up with timely hits for the Jays were Nolan Smith and Kyle Williamson. Tate Zawaduik and Sam Lee were outstanding on the mound. The next outing for the Blue Jays is Thursday evening when they take on the Giants. First pitch 6:05pm.

It was an exciting start to the Blue Jay's season last night as they laid it all out to edged out the Major Cardinals 7-5. It was a see-saw battle of a game that showcased some exciting talent on both squads. The Jays took a 3-0 lead into the 4th inning, but were unable to contain the Cardinals bats and went into the 5th trailing by 1. In the top of 5 the Jays scored 3 big runs, and closer Ben Glassco only needed 7 pitches to shut down the Cards to pick up the save. Samuel Lee, Nolan Weger and Harrison Lucas all had key hits in the Jays first victory. Next up for the Blue JaysL the Major Yankees tonight, 5:25 start.
