Coquitlam Little League's own Tamara Derby has been CLL faithful throughout her baseball career, being 1 of 2 females to register in the Junior Division in '08 and '09, and the only female to register in our Senior Division this year. In 2009 she was named to the Junior Selects team and this year she was named to the Senior A's All-Star squad that played in the BC Provincial Championships at Ambleside, North Vancouver.
Every year Baseball BC puts together a woman's team to participate in the Bantam Girls Nationals. In 2008 BC took the silver medal in a tough loss to Quebec in the championship game and this year BC is looking for a little redemption. This year it is being held in Richmond, and Tamara has played her way into a roster spot as the girls look for gold!
