The 2010 AGM concluded with four of 2010's Executive members stepping off the Board, and five new members accepting nominations. In total the Board of Directors will have 17 members filling 20 positions for the 2011 season. On Tuesday, September 28th, the new Board met to discuss what positions each of them will hold.
The first order of buisness was to elect a new President, as former President Gerald Otterman stepped down at the AGM. Due to his 20+ years on the Board, and previous experience as prez, Steve Tickner was nominated, and accepted.
Returning members of the 2010 Executive retained their respective posts, with some minor changes. Wes Taylor has now filled a role of Vice-President as well as Majors Coordinator, Brian Calvin has stepped up to Umpire in Chief, Ray Veltin has taken on the Field Maintenance Director and Tyler Olinyk has taken on the role of Blue Mountain Coordinator as well as Communications Director.
The new members of the 2011 Executive have filled in open positions, and look forward to the challenges each may bring. Mark Colligan has taken on the role of Coach & Player Development, Sandon Fraser will be an Assistant Equipment Manager as well as Assistant Sponsorship Coordinator. Ray Jaco has accepted a role as AAA Coordinator, Dan Malicki is the new AA Coordinator, and Shayn Solberg is the new A Coordinator. Lastly, Fred Ledlin has accepted a position as Blastball Coordinator.
The Board will meet again on Tuesday, October 5th to discuss off-season issues and prepare for the 2011 season.
