What event could possibly bring an entire league of over 500 players together? PICTURE DAY!
Picture day this year is Saturday, May 28 located at Mackin Park. All of our teams have been scheduled a time for their team/individual photo (schedule below), but the fun doesn't stop there. Along with a fantastic photo for mum, every player is given a free meal ticket (hot dog/drink/candy bag) and our younger players are all entered in a Longest Ball hitting contest!
Players from Blastball to Rookie will head over to the hitting area immediately after their photos. Not only will the longest recorded hit for each league age will receive a trophy at Founder's Day, but there will be many prizes awarded on the spot!
To make sure that we keep our photographers on schedule, please make sure to arrive at Mackin Park 15min prior to your set picture time to get yourselves organized. Pick out a specific meeting place for you team and don't forget your jersey!
Each team has already received a roster form that was supplied by the photographer. This MUST be filled out with you team's information PRIOR to getting your pictures taken. If you have lost your form, extras will be available at the picture area - please arrive a few minutes early to fill it out.
As part of a district-wide initiative, CoqLL is also holding a Food Drive on Saturday, May 28. Please bring 1 or 2 non-perishable food items with you to Picture Day to donate to our local food bank S.H.A.R.E. We will have bins set up for collection of non-perishable food items, but remember you can also make cash donations.
Demand on our local food banks is continually rising, so this is a terrific opportunity for our players and league to give back to the community. For more info on what S.H.A.R.E. means to the community check out the articles written in the Coquitlam Now and the TriCity News.
