| Fall Ball/Winter Training |
Fall BallThanks to all those players that registered and came out for our cold and rainy fall-ball season! Our Juniors struggled to find games, however we had a deticated core group of players that regularly came out for practices.. THANKS! The Senior/Big League squads also had an extremely positive fall season, getting back to the basics with hard work. Thanks again to all our CLL-ers! Winter/Spring TrainingContinuing in January... Winter Strength and Dryland Training UPDATE: Beginning February 6, cross-fit will no longer be offered on Thursday nights. Dryland will continue on Monday and Wednesday nights at 830pm, and cross-fit weight training will continue on Saturday afternoons at 1pm. As the season looms closer, dryland will fade into throwing and hitting sessions for our Seniors. Check back at the end of February for an updated schedule. CLL is proud to announce a new year round training program for our players. The program is broken down into three cycles: an offseason program focusing on muscle growth and development, a preseason phase focusing on an increase in sport specific muscle movements, and an in-season phase that focuses on injury prevention. At the Blue Mountain Baseball Academy our goal is to make you a bigger, faster, stronger athlete. We will do this by tailoring a fitness and dryland training program that will not only help your baseball skills but make you an overall better athlete. We use a variety of different training techniques, and a strength and conditioning program based around crossfit, kettlebell and offseason programs used by the Toronto Blue Jays and the Arizona Diamonddbacks. Our program does not stop there. We also offer a dryland program that focuses on core strengthening, gaining speed and agility, and developing explosive movements. These sessions are offered in our well equipped Blue Mountain Cage which allows us to continue training even when the weather turns bad. We have taken influences from a variety of sources and programs and have tailored them to help you. Our coaches have years of experience and are well connected with others in the fitness industry. It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned vet or a first timer, the Blue Mountain Baseball Academy has a program for you! Running 4 days per week, this sport specific program is another great addiditon to our year-round commitment to developing surperior athletes. Monday/Thursday dryland training will be at 8pm in the Blue Mountain cage. Tuesday/Saturday strength training will be at 8pm and 1pm respectively. Our first session is Monday, November 15th 2010 and this cycle will run until February 26th. We have limited registration to 2011 League Aged players 14-18. A monthly fee of $25 can be paid by cash or cheque. Cheques can be made to: Coquitlam Little League. Please contact Sandon Fraser (sandonfraser@hotmail.com) for more info. |
